Mission – WEConnect Canada delivers the leading international certification standard for women-owned businesses. We bring together the growing corporate and public sector demand for diverse supply chains with certified women business enterprises.
Governance – WEConnect Canada is an independent non-profit corporate membership organization guided by a corporate Board of Directors.
Global Support – Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in the US and WEConnect UK, global leaders in certification for women’s enterprise, are supporting WEConnect Canada with full adaptation of their world class formal certification processes.
Launch – WEConnect Canada is working with Quantum Leaps, Inc., a global non-profit dedicated to promoting women’s enterprise development. Quantum Leaps is providing in-kind incubator support to WEConnect Canada during the start-up period. Through Quantum Leaps, WEConnect Canada will become a part of the WEConnect International network and will receive a small amount of seed funding, as well as knowledge transfer and technical assistance on how to conduct certification that will be recognized by the international business community. Quantum Leaps will also provide training on how to help women-owned businesses increase their capacity to scale.
